In the fourth quarter of 2019, Lundin Gold realized first gold production as well as the first export of gold concentrate and doré. In the first quarter of 2020 FDN achieved commercial production. THE ROLE

The paramedic is responsible for providing response, comprehensive pre-hospital care treatment and transportation to medical emergencies arising at remote work sites, in compliance with appropriate legislation and professional association guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pre-hospital care services to all employees.
  • Support health and wellness programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Respond to pre-hospital medical emergencies in remote locations.
  • Ensure the safe and competent care and transfer of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with established medical records protocol.
  • Accompany the patient during transfers for secondary care, providing basic or advanced life support.
  • Respect employee confidentiality by ensuring that their health information is kept confidential.
  • Ensure that the department complies with the requirements of the Government, Fruta del Norte Agencies, stakeholders, environmental, health, legislation and company safety regulations.

  • Provide pre-hospital support to the operation.
  • Provide training and instruction to company personnel and others as necessary on occupational health and emergency issues.
  • Support health prevention campaigns in conjunction with the company’s Medical Service.
  • Inspection and maintenance of health equipment and supplies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Third level degree in medical emergencies, pre-hospital health or related.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in intensive/critical care with a public ambulance service, preferably in the industrial or mining sector.
  • Have extensive working knowledge of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Have the appropriate certification and training to work as a paramedic.
  • Current certifications in: PHTLS, BLS, ACLS, AMLS.
