Lundin Gold, through its Ecuadorian subsidiary Aurelian Ecuador S.A., owns the Fruta del Norte Mine (FDN), located in southeastern Ecuador in the Zamora Chinchipe Province.

Fruta del Norte (FDN) is one of the largest and highest grade gold deposits in the world currently in production. The Company has an experienced mine operations team dedicated to advancing FDN responsibly. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Lundin Gold realized first gold production as well as the first export of gold concentrate and doré. In the first quarter of 2020 FDN achieved commercial production. THE ROLE

Supervise the implementation and compliance of Social Work policies, programs, indicators and procedures, to ensure that staff receive timely and efficient care in accordance with Human Resources policies, coordinating Social Work management in order to make proactive strategic decisions, in accordance with current requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and support the employee in the services and benefits provided by the Company.
  • Provide support to employees in the procedures and formalities related to Social Security.
  • Coordinate the preparation and keep updated the social and economic records of the Company’s employees.
  • Coordinate home visits by the Social Work team and propose action or intervention plans.
  • Coordinate follow-up strategies for employees who are absent from work.
  • Design, implement and lead social welfare plans aimed at improving the quality of life of employees.
  • Coordinate the support of Social Work in the procedures related to the labor risk authority on occupational accidents and illnesses.
  • Provide guidance and advice in difficult situations related to the company’s social work management.
  • Actively participate in the processes of other areas that are involved in the management of Social Work.
  • Coordinate the participation of the Social Work team in projects and initiatives of the Social Responsibility and Communities area.
  • Organize and coordinate workshops, seminars and conferences involved in the company’s social work management.
  • Carry out a permanent survey and update of employee information that allows us to determine compliance with the Amazon Law.
  • Carry out a permanent survey and update of employees with disabilities and substitutes, verify the validity of documents and identify possible new cases for qualification.
  • Develop family relationship files between employees (up to 2nd degree of consanguinity and affinity) in order to identify in time possible cases of nepotism and/or conflict of interest.
  • Coordinate emotional support strategies, provide support in the analysis of criticality, manage support strategies in coordination with HR Management and HR Senior Management.
  • Elaborate and present transversal projects to the organization, related to the general psychosocial well-being of the employees.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, preferably with a Master’s degree in welfare or human resources related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Social Work positions in the field or in social projects in rural areas.
  • Knowledge of Social Security Law and Labor Code.
  • Knowledge of Labor Risks regulations for the management in case of accidents and occupational diseases.
  • Knowledge of the Disability Law, Amazon Law, Humanitarian Law and Violet Economy Law.
