Fruta del Norte (FDN) is one of the largest and highest grade gold deposits in the world currently in production. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Lundin Gold realized first gold production as well as the first export of gold concentrate and doré. In the first quarter of 2020 FDN achieved commercial production. THE ROLE
The Maintenance Planner manages the general maintenance plan of the subway fleet, with the objective of maximizing the availability and minimizing the maintenance cost; for this, he/she must align the Planning process to the needs of the maintenance area. This professional aims to ensure the proper maintenance and the state of conservation of the subway equipment fleet.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the maintenance plan of the subway fleet (administration of the Routing Sheets in SAP).
- Manage the standardization of maintenance activities.
- Perform ongoing periodic reviews of maintenance guidelines to ensure that the maintenance plan complies with manufacturers’ recommendations and covers schedules, equipment repairs, as well as preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Continuously improve and update the maintenance plan based on the history of failures encountered and analyzed.
- Identify risks in resources for the development of the Maintenance Plan, and manage contingency actions.
- Control the change of components to maximize the value delivered by the equipment to the organization (cost per hour worked).
- Perform evaluation of maintenance notifications and create planned work orders from work requests (notifications).
- Audit estimated dates, HH and materials needed to execute planned work orders.
- Systematically evaluate and manage requirements for new materials to be incorporated into MRP. Analyze material consumption and manage modification of consumption points.
- Develop monthly maintenance plan based on the 52-week maintenance plan and equipment production requirements.
- Coordinate with the different areas for the correct execution of maintenance plans and strategic decision making.
- Elaborate and/or follow up on the status of the major component change program.
- Coordinate the monitoring of equipment in the field, through the analysis and download of data (SAP) and its correct and orderly storage of such information on the corresponding dates.
- Responsible for the control of the maintenance history of each equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance services with external suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with other departments, such as production, purchasing and logistics, to ensure a smooth execution of maintenance activities.
- Responsible for managing the budget allocated for maintenance activities. This involves tracking associated costs such as labor, materials, equipment and external services so that activities are performed within the established budget.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the maintenance of fixed or mobile equipment.
- Desirable experience in mining industry equipment maintenance, and at least 3 years as maintenance planner.
