Lundin Gold, through its Ecuadorian subsidiary Aurelian Ecuador S.A., owns the Fruta del Norte Mine (FDN), located in southeastern Ecuador in the Zamora Chinchipe Province.
Fruta del Norte (FDN) is one of the largest and highest grade gold deposits in the world currently in production. The Company has an experienced mine operations team dedicated to advancing FDN responsibly. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Lundin Gold realized first gold production as well as the first export of gold concentrate and doré. In the first quarter of 2020 FDN achieved commercial production. Lundin Gold operates transparently in accordance with international best practices and according to its three core principles: Working Safely, Environmental Stewardship and Respect.
THE ROLE
The SAP IT Coordinator will be responsible for evaluating, designing and implementing solutions in SAP ECC 6.0 in order to manage and administer the SAP operational platform in areas such as Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), Plant Maintenance (PM), Warehouse Management (WM) and Security (BASIS) functions and support. You will bring technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing existing and new business process configurations, as well as maintaining users, security roles and transports between environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the area director or project manager in the execution of assigned professional services tasks.
- Develop functional specifications related to SAP ECC 6.0 customization/enhancement in FI/CO (finance and control), MM (materials management), PM (plant maintenance) modules, including (but not limited to) SAP and non-SAP reporting, pre-processing, extract-transform-load programs and tuning tools.
- Assist or participate in the implementation of SAP projects or their modifications/upgrades.
- Analyze and determine resolution of SAP problem/opportunity/solution.
- Perform SAP system installation, maintenance and backups.
- Administer users, manage permissions and security roles, transport orders between environments.
- Implement strategies for system backup and periodic maintenance.
- Evaluate, challenge and document business requirements.
- Gather and document user requirements related to Lundin Gold business applications.
- Control changes to baseline requirements.
- Analyze, document and optimize business processes in line with current and future business requirements.
- Perform impact analysis on requested changes to user requirements.
- Communicate to internal and external customers about the agreed solution.
- Design follow up user acceptance test plan, user acceptance testing (UAT) and responses to issues.
- Give test solutions to validate if requirements have been met.
- Participate in the analysis of workflow and other business processes to identify and classify requirements.
- Act as a change agent in the implementation of business and operational systems.
- Recommend improvement of business operational processes.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of third party software solutions.
- Submit periodic IT task report on work activities. The report should include monthly performance statistics.
- Prepare and submit project plans, status reports, cost/benefit and resource studies.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s project management framework during the execution of implementation projects.
- Ensure compliance with policies, standards and controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems.
- Be familiar with Lundin Gold’s health, safety and environmental standards and strictly adhere to them. Act as a role model in complying with and supporting these standards and practices.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Third level degree in Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related Engineering.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the implementation and/or support of SAP R3 ECC 6.0 in the FI/CO (Finance and Controlling), MM (Materials Management) or PM (Plant Maintenance) module.
- Strong experience with SPRO (IMG), standards workflow configuration, SAP best practices.
- Experience in documenting change controls and IT controls (desirable).
- Experience in SAP ERP implementations as an ERP user or providing ERP support, Business Process Management, Business Systems, IT Project Management and/or Systems Engineering/Design within mining or industry related companies.
- English level: spoken and written at intermediate-advanced level (required).
- Certified in some SAP module (desirable).
- Availability to work in camps and rotations.
